Adviser to the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran international Exhibitions Company, Dr. Hassan Zamani Has traveled to the UAE as the head of the technical staff and experts group to visit the pavilion of our country at Expo 2020 Dubai and met with the Minister of International Cooperation of the UAE and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, Ms. Reem Ebrahim Hashemi on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
According to the reporting by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the I.R.IRAN International Exhibitions Company, in this meeting which was also attended by top managers of Expo 2020 Dubai; Ms. Reem Ebrahim Hashemi welcomed the Iranian delegations and announced Iran as a friendly and brotherly country and added: "We will not refrain from any action for the powerful and glorious presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Dubai Expo.”
The UAE Minister for International Cooperation stated that: “The Expo is a unique opportunity to expand economic, political and cultural relations with other countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Ms. Reem Ebrahim Hashemi emphasized: "By the help to each other and the cooperation and empathy of the officials of the two countries, we will show to the world that the relations between the two countries are inseparable and inviolable and over time, the level of relations will be expanded and strengthened."
Dr. Hassan Zamani thanked the Minister of the UAE Government for the support and also the efforts of the managers and staffs of the Expo 2020 Dubai for the cooperation and support on the construction of the Islamic Republic of Iran pavilion.
Dr. Zamani explained the level of economic and trade relations between the two countries in recent years and suggested to use the opportunity that is created at the Expo 2020 Dubai by establishing trade and investment working groups to achieve the aims of the two countries.
Managing Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company referred to the level of historical and cultural relations between the two countries and the presence of more than 400,000 Iranians living in the UAE and said: “it is necessary to strengthen the political-economic and cultural relations between the two countries and we should not fall into the trap of the enemies propaganda about the two countries.”
Possibility of using the pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran after the expo 2020 Dubai, welcoming the investment in Iran in the field of exhibition industry and other economic fields, assistance in the operation of the equipped outdoor restaurant of the Iranian pavilion at the Dubai Expo and also inviting the Minister of the UAE on international cooperation, Ms. Reem Ebrahim Hashemi to attend in Iranian national day ceremony at the Expo 2020 Dubai were considered as the most important issues discussed in this meeting.
